Is A Baby Allowed To Play In Its First Month?

What should you do to have a happy pregnancy? Many things you could do, but what most pregnant women rarely do is having a vacation. Get a life and try to relax a little bit. Or take an extended weekend just to refresh and recharge your batteries.Downtime is very important, and in a world where nearly all of us are tied to cell phones and lap tops, even away from the office, it is good to get away from it all from time to time. Having time to walk along the beach or play golf or even to stay inside and read a great book without interruptions can help us recharge our batteries. When the baby comes, your number one job is to be Mom. So, you will not have much time for yourself, at least not in the beginning when the baby depends on you for everything.

Capitalize on those spare moments of highly valued free time now. When you are refreshed, you are more effective and productive anyway. You will also be easier to get along with, and it will be easier for you to deal with others (even...

Dreaming About a New Home in New Jersey?

Kara Homes, a home builder based in East Brunswick, has constructed "Millionaire's Row," said the company's president, Mr.Zudi Karagjozi. He has promoted the development as a first: very-high-end homes, actually on New Jersey's oceanfront, only a 45-minute ferry ride from Manhattan. Mr.Karagjozi said he likes to think of the project as a renaissance for Sea Bright, a "restoration" of its period of highest elegance in the late 1800's when big names of the day -- Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt, William Nelson Cromwell, Sir Thomas Lipton of World Cup racing fame -- summered there, engaging in chic festivites like an annual horse-drawn carriage race between Sea Bright and Long Branch.By 1870, the railroad had come through the little town, which is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Shrewsbury River on the other. Sea Bright's barrier beach, which is the southern half of the Sandy Hook peninsula, had been purchased by its first developers, who brought in topsoil from Rumson Long...

The Wide Range of Maui Wedding Ceremonies

Whatever your religious affiliation, or whatever you'd like to experience, there is a Maui wedding ceremony that will suit you. A lot of people prefer the traditional Hawaiian wedding ceremony and there is an interesting tale to tell about that.

Since the early Hawaiians had no written language, a traditional Hawaiian wedding is nothing more than speculation. Some of the traditions have been handed down, from generation to generation, in stories and songs from the past. But other features are simply guesswork.

It is believed that the wedding ceremony was reserved for royalty but is now available for anyone who cares to use it. On Maui there are houses of worship for almost every religion on earth, churches, temples, etc. that can be adapted by lesser-known sects for an appropriate service. In addition, by bringing in your own religious person to perform the ceremony, you can be assured that your wedding vows will conform to whatever specifics your religion requires. NBC Sees the "Light"

New Orleans, LA (ContentDesk) January 24, 2004 --You could hear it all through the halls.
It was brought up in meetings and discussed at lunch.
No, it wasn't about the surprises that came out of the Iowa caucus.
It was constant chatter at Planet Beach's corporate office about the report by Rob Bazzell on NBC's Nightly News.
The report on 1/19/04 that focused on the necessity of Vitamin D in maintaining good health with the main source of the vitamin coming from the sun.The indoor tanning industry has been fighting to educate the public and the media for years about the advantages of UV light.

Planet Beach and tanning salons across the nation now have a partner in that fight, Dr. Michael Holick of Boston University.
With his new studies highlighting the alarming Vitamin D deficiency rate and his new book "The UV Advantage" along with the persistence of the indoor tanning industry, the people are starting to see the "light", UV light...

Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica

One of the ports of call for our Royal Caribbean cruiseship was Ocho Rios, Jamaica. Probably the most famous site in the region is Dunn's River Falls and we chose to tour it on our own rather than through one of the cruiseship tours. Once we disembarked from the cruiseship, there were cabs and shuttlebuses available at the pier. Cabs to Dunn's River Falls were $22 US for a return trip. Cabs allowed 1-3 people per vehicle.

We were also told at the pier that small shuttlebuses also go to the Falls at $5.50 US per person. These were also based on return trips. The only problem with shuttlebuses was that we had to wait until they filled up the shuttle before leaving for the Falls so since we were the first on the bus, we had to wait about 15 minutes for it to fill up. The driver then asks you when you want to be picked up at the Falls for the return trip. Our driver suggested 2 hours to see the Falls so we agreed on this time duration.Once at the Falls, a woman then came onboard the...

Safe Splashing: Basic Water Safety for Families

One of the best things about summer is enjoying outdoor activities with your family. Adding water to those activities increases the fun, but it increases the danger, too. Fortunately, you and your family can safely enjoy your time at the pool, lake and beach if you practice some basic rules of water safety.Experts from the American Red Cross remind you to follow these safety tips to protect your family and keep them safe in or around the water:1. Learn to swim and swim well. One of the best things anyone can do to stay safe in and around the water is learn to swim.

No one, including adults, should ever swim alone. Adults should practice "reach supervision" which means to be within arm's length of a child in case an emergency occurs.2. Outfit everyone with the proper gear. Kids -- and even adults -- who are not strong swimmers should use U.S. Coast Guard approved personal flotation devices (PFDs) whenever they are in or around the water.

This lifesaving lightweight plastic...
